About Net Zero Australia Phase 1
Phase 1 of the Net Zero Australia Project completed its work on 12 July 2023.
The Net Zero Australia Project is continuing, and many aspects of the Project have been updated since Phase 1 was completed. This includes changes to our Supporters, Advisors, Steering Committee and Project Team members, as well as our findings and results. Phase 1 Governance
Phase 1 of Net Zero Australia was funded by gifts or grants from our Supporters and implemented through previous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between partners:
- The University of Melbourne
- The University of Queensland
- Princeton University’s Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment
- Nous Group.
Phase 1 was governed by a Steering Committee that is supported by a team of researchers and an Advisory Group.
Phase 1 Steering Committee
The Steering Committee for Phase 1 was comprised of the following individuals:
- Professor Robin Batterham: independent member and Chair
- Katherin Domansky: independent member
- Professor Michael Brear: Project director of the University of Melbourne’s NZAu work
- Associate Professor Simon Smart: Project director of the University of Queensland’s NZAu work
- Professor Chris Greig: Project director of Princeton University’s NZAu work
- Richard Bolt: Project director of Nous Group’s NZAu work
Phase 1 Advisory Group
The Phase 1 Group was comprised of nominees from the following organisations:
